Is this really considered an editing post? Well…no. But it is an awesome internet video, and a brilliant ad campaign.
The team behind the original Old Spice guy commercial (am I the only one who still makes ‘I’m on a horse’ jokes?) have partnered up with Vimeo to create a special one-off interactive player. You watch the video, which is fairly funny in itself, and then you get to make music with your keyboard and record the results. And of course, any time a company can make branded content that their users will gleefully spread around to their friends is a win in marketing.
I’m afraid I will not be sharing the fruits my own music-making labour…maybe because it’s mostly just me making Terry Crews say “We on the internet!” over and over again. But I’m sure you can come up with something better.
(For me on my laptop, it takes it a minute to transition from the normal video to the interactive player. If it doesn’t work for you right away, just give it a bit.)
